Delpha Horne

Delpha Lober Horne, of Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. The family wishes to invite friends to join them for a time of visitation thirty minutes prior to the service. Reverend Tripp Hodges will officiate the service.
Delpha was born in Macon, Georgia on August 8, 1946, to the late Mr. William Newton Lober and Mrs. Mary Walker Lober. Delpha was a gentle soul with a fiery spirit, balancing sweetness with a touch of feistiness. She found joy in the simple things, like crafting with her hands and sharing precious moments with her family. Her heart was full of love, always caring, giving, and ready to lend a helping hand. Delpha's presence brought warmth and comfort, and her family will forever cherish the loving memories she leaves behind. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her best.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Delpha McCombs; and sister, Mary Donaldson.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted husband, Raymond Frank Horne, Jr; son, Robert "Trae" Glenn McCombs, III (Mary); daughter, Melanie Phillips; brothers, William "Billy" Lober and Tony Lober; grandchildren, Lee McCombs, Abbey McCombs, Eleni Chittenden; and a host of great grandchildren.
