Debra Fruitticher Helms, 69, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2025.
Born June 20, 1956, in Savannah, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Beverly and Maxine Fruitticher.Debra retired as a Licensing Agent with the Georgia Secretary of State's Office after many years of dedicated service. She was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed a life filled with love for her family, friends, and the simple pleasures that brought her joy. She especially loved spending time with her loved ones, dining out, and relaxing with a good book—particularly mysteries by Mary Higgins Clark and James Patterson. Debra also found great comfort and companionship in her beloved dog, Chloe.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step daughter, Angela Helms.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Helms (Branden) and Cassandra Campbell; stepdaughter, Chrystal Mobley (Pickle); sisters, Margaret Frost, Nancy Horwitz, and Carolyn Rooks; and grandchildren, Addalyn Jackson, Zaria Helms-Wilson, K.J. Helms Barad, L.J. Helms Barad, Kyleigh Smith, J.J. Barad, P.J. Barad, R.J. Barad, and A.J. Barad. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and her dearest friends, Melody Stewart, Debbie Drayton, Susan Smith, Deb Collins, and Teresa Chatfield.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025, in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, with Rev. Josh Gale officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
