Deborah Gail McCollum, 75, of Macon, Georgia, went to be with her Lord on Easter Sunday April 20, 2025. A graveside service to honor her life will be 11:00 AM Thursday April 24, 2025, at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pastor Ronnie Hollis Jr. will be officiating services.
Mrs. McCollum was born April 29, 1949, in Columbus, Georgia to the late Mr. Lehman Burdeshaw and Mrs. Ruth Burdeshaw. She was a radiant soul whose presence lit up every room she entered. Known for her intelligence, beauty, and boundless kindness, she touched the lives of many with her loving heart and generous spirit. A long time member of the Cathedral of Christ Baptist Church, her faith was the cornerstone of a life lived with grace and compassion. She had a special fondness for animals and a remarkable gift in the kitchen, where she expressed her love through delicious meals shared with family and friends. An avid reader, she delighted in the twists and turns of mystery and romance mysteries, always eager for the next thrilling chapter. Sweet, caring, and endlessly thoughtful, Mrs. McCollum leaves behind a legacy of warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love that will be cherished forever.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Gary Burdeshaw.
Left to cherish her memory are, her loving husband of 35 years, Larry McCollum Sr.; sons, Clint Adams, Larry McCollum Jr., Matthew McCollum; daughter Shanna Jackson; sister, Becky Mashburn; grandchildren, Marah McCollum, Natalie McCollum, Thomas McCollum, Ava McCollum, Emily McCollum, Mary Jackson; Two nieces, one nephew, and extended family.
