Deborah Elmore

August 30, 1953 — October 1, 2024

Deborah Gail Morris Elmore, 71, of Vienna, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Debbie was born on August 30, 1953, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Joe and Christine Morris.

Following high school, Debbie lived in Panhandle of Florida and in Central Georgia, but the majority of her life was lived on her family homestead in Vienna. Debbie worked various jobs throughout her life, including many years with Georgia Pacific and then retiring some years later from Harris Farm and Home. Debbie cherished her country life and found the most joy in watching wildlife from her back porch, particularly the deer and hummingbirds. Debbie had an extremely powerful green thumb and took such pride in her collection of plants which were meticulously cared for. Over the years Debbie loved spending time fishing, riding horses and bringing the family together over a meal. Holidays, birthdays and fish-fries were always a cause for celebration.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her brother George Morris. Left to cherish Debbie's memory are her brothers Joe Granade (Saundra) of Athens, GA and Joe "Buck" (Melissa) Morris of Leslie, GA and her children, Jennifer Jacobs of Yulee, FL, Brandon (Kylie) Jacobs of Perry, GA and James (Trish) Jacobs of Crawfordville, FL as well as her grandchildren, Logan McDonald, Karlie Jacobs and Logan Jacobs.

A celebration of Debbie's life will be held on Saturday, October 5 from 3-5 pm at 857 McNeese Road, Vienna, GA 31092.
