Dawn M. Brooks Neal, 79, of Macon, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 1, at 11:00 AM at Lizella Baptist Church with the Reverend Rick Parsons officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
Ms. Neal was born on January 2, 1942, in Macon, Georgia, to the late John C. Brooks and Inez Ross Brooks. She was a member of Lizella Baptist Church.
Ms. Neal was preceded in death by her spouse, James "Buddy" Neal; daughter, Gloria Ann Causey; and sisters, Susan Elaine Neesmith and Cassie Alligood.
Ms. Neal is survived by her children, Clifton "Bubba" Causey (Sherry), Kay Sanders (Chuck), and Mark McCranie (Loretta); grandchildren, Brittney Nix (Kevin), Rita Boling (Chris), Jennifer Dejong (Matthew), and Bobby McCranie; great-grandchildren, Knox, Bristol, Sophia, Everlie, Paxten, Levi, Remi, Libby, and Jace; sister Elizabeth Baker; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests that donations in Ms. Neal's honor be made to: Operation
