Born on June 14, 1950, in Macon, Georgia, David was the son of the late William Harold Mosely Sr. and Annie Mae Clark Mosely.
David lived a life full of passion, humor, and heart. He was a man who found joy in simple pleasures and big moments alike; riding Harley Davidsons, cheering on Dale Earnhardt Sr. in NASCAR, pulling for Alabama football, or enjoying a cold Budweiser around a bonfire. He loved playing horseshoes and pool, and his presence brought both strength and kindness wherever he went. Tough but gentle, stern yet compassionate, David had a gift for never meeting a stranger. His care for others was evident, especially in his tenderness toward animals and the elderly.
He was a steward of love who always pushed those around him to reach their potential. As an ordained minister, he shared not only his faith but also his encouragement and belief in people. Above all, David adored his family, especially his grandchildren, and built his life around them. Known for his signature phrase, "Hey Pal," he left an imprint of warmth and familiarity on everyone he met.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Mosely; brothers, Danny Mosely and Timothy Mosely.
He is survived by his loving spouse of 13 years, Barbara Sanneman; his sons, John (Amy) Mosely, Tommy (Misty) Higdon, Bo (Melissa) Mosely, William "Willie" Mosely, and James (Allyson) McDonald; his daughters, Shelly Taylor, Megan (Casey) Jones, and Brittany (Nick) Smith; his brothers, Harold (Suzy) Mosely and Ben (Tina) Mosely; his sisters, Deborah Poole and Rebekah (Johnny) Poole; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
David's legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
