David "Davey" Joiner, 66, of Byron, Georgia went to be with his Lord on Sunday November 17, 2024. The family will have a memorial service in his honor at 3:00 PM, Saturday November 23, 2024, at FairHaven Funeral Home 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Rd. Macon, Georgia, with the family greeting guests one hour prior to services.
Davey was born in Jacksonville, Florida on November 2, 1958, to the late Mr. David Joiner and Mrs. Betty Joyce Selph Joiner. He is described as a hard worker, having been a pipe fitter for the UA local Union 72 for forty years, he was very patriotic, serving his country in the United States Army then later the Army National Guard. When he wasn't serving or working hard, he enjoyed many things life has to offer, when asked to do something, his usual response was "not today". Davey could often be found hunting, fishing, lounging in Panama City Beach, watching old westerns, collecting baseball cards, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. His wisdom and humor will have a lasting effect on anyone that knew him. If he were here today, and anyone asked about his beloved Bulldogs, he would simply say "We got this, go Dawgs!".
In addition to his parents Davey is predeceased by his son, Jeremy Joiner; daughter, Mandi Giberson; and brother, Johnny Joiner.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, of 41 Years, Debbie Joiner; son, Mitch Joiner; daughter, Heather Snider; brothers, Mike Joiner, Mark (Cheryl) Joiner; sister, Susie (Yancey) Baker; seven grandchildren, Dakota, Destiny, Joe, Austin, Brianna, Brian, Leighann; four great grandchildren, Walker, Shelby, Ellie, Ezra; and many nieces and nephews.
