Darrell Perkins

Darrell Michael Perkins (David), age 58, passed away peacefully outside of his home in Fort Valley, Georgia on Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24, 2022.

David was born on March 27, 1964 in Tazewell County, Virginia to the late Mr. Charles Robert Perkins and Mrs. Joyce Lanford (Sullivan).

David worked as a car mechanic and always took the time to help those around him. During his lifetime, David lived to the fullest through simple pleasures, whether it's having a cook-out, cracking a joke, or fishing at the pier, he loved to laugh and have fun. David loved people, especially his family and soulmate Rhonda Rano, who he was with for 30 years. He truly knew how to help and reach people in a positive way. He was never a stranger to those around him. David was loved by his family, friends, and neighbors.

David was preceded in death by his daughter Amanda Lanford and his step-son Chad Williams. David is survived by his lifetime partner Rhonda Rano, his step-daughter Courtney Davis-Persaud, his son Michael Perkins, his sister Sheila Lanford, his brother-in-law & sister-in-law Robert and Parish Cromer, his mother-in-law Kathleen English, and all of his grandchildren of the Lanford & Perkins family. Memorial services for Darrell Perkins will be held privately with friends and family at a future date.
