Darrell Monroe Jones

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darrell Monroe Jones, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Darrell was born on Sunday, February 26th, 1961, in Jacksonville, Florida, and passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9th, 2026, in Macon, Georgia.

Darrell was a devoted father and is survived by his loving son, Jesse Jones of Locust Grove, GA, and his cherished daughters, Stacy Kirby of Columbus and Nicole Jones of Tennessee, along with her partner, Joshua Cole. He also leaves behind his adopted daughter, Alex Overcash. Darrell was a proud grandfather to his granddaughters, Cadence Jones and Bailey Adkison, who brought immense joy to his life.

He is also survived by his brothers, Michael Jones (D'Lyn), Tony Jones (Summer), and Chris Jones (Nikki), as well as his sister, Patsy Tillman (Neal). Darrell was a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews, who will fondly remember his warmth and kindness.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Loren Monroe Jones and Wilma Jones, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.

A master carpenter by trade, Darrell was self-employed and widely respected for his exceptional skills in trim, staircases, and deck construction. His passion for his craft was evident in every project he undertook. Beyond his work, Darrell was a motorcycle and car enthusiast, often spending his free time with friends who shared his interests.

Darrell will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.
