Darlene was born in Barnesville, Georgia on February 6, 1955, to the late Mr. Calvin Thomas Phillips and Mrs. Lily Mae Johnson. Darlene was a beautiful soul who brought joy and light to everyone she met. A free spirit at heart, she loved to dance, letting the rhythm of life guide her every step. Her warmth and kindness were evident in everything she did, and she was a true light in the lives of those around her. Above all, Darlene cherished her time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, nurturing them with the same love and care she gave to her own Amie. She had a deep love for nature, finding peace in the beauty of flowers, the songs of birds, and the serenity of the beach. Camping and spending time outdoors were some of her greatest joys. As a mother, she was nothing short of extraordinary, offering unwavering support and love to her children and grandchildren. Darlene was deeply loved, and her legacy of kindness, joy, and light will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Charlie James Coleman.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 50 devoted years, Edward Jones; daughter, Amie Coleman; sister, Linda Phillips; grandchildren, Morgan Bryan, Bailey Bryan, Hayden Jones; great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Keeley, and Daylen.
