Darlene DeeLois Blair, of Roberta, Georgia, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Saturday, January 10, 2026, just days before her 65th birthday.
Darlene was born on January 18, 1961, in Gordon, Georgia, to Ms. Carolyn Cromer and the late Mr. James Edward Bloodworth. Throughout her life, Darlene was known for her kind heart, sweet spirit, and unmistakable stubborn streak that those who loved her came to cherish.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, reading a good book, attending church, shopping, and spending time at the beach. Above all else, Darlene loved her family deeply. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and family gatherings meant everything to her, especially during the holidays. Christmas, in particular, held a special place in her heart, as it allowed her to surround herself with those she loved most.
Left to cherish her memory, in addition to her mother, Carolyn Cromer, are her beloved children: daughter, Jessica (Milton) Carr; sons, Michael Carr and Brian (Kamyla) Carr; her sisters, Wanda Hamilton and Angela (David) Houk; her brothers, Stephen Sapp and Troy Bloodworth; and her treasured grandchildren, Jackson Carr, Jacob Carr, Aurora Nelson, and Leilani Nelson. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
A service to celebrate Darlene’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at FairHaven Funeral Home. The family invites friends to join them one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation.
Darlene’s legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
