Daniel Lamar Phillips, 62, of Macon, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. Pastor Ronnie Hollis, Jr will officiate.
Born in Vienna, Georgia, he was the son of the late James M. Phillips and Norma Jean Jacks Neubold. A graduate of Memphis State University, with a degree in Real Estate finance. He was a member of the 1981 National Championship Racquetball Team. At a loose limbed 6'5, his teammates nicknamed him "Flail" for his stylistic approach to the game and was personally ranked 14th nationally in singles.
With a professional and personal background in landscaping, he loved his "yard time" helping Mother Nature beautify our world.
As a dedicated Respiratory Therapist at Atrium Navicent Health, he helped many to breathe easier.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Brandie Phillips, Children, Daniel R. Phillips and Eryn N. Odom (Will), Mother and Father-in-Law: Merry and Sam Fort; Grandchildren, Willis and Sterling Odom and a granddaughter on the way.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Allison Scheetz and her staff at Pine Point Hospice; also, the staff of Madison Heights Memory Care for the care Mr. Phillips received. Due to his love of landscaping, the family would like friends to honor him with sending flowers or plants if they desire.
This guy loved him some Bama Football and worshipped "The Bear"…. ROLL TIDE!
