Dana Lorraine Eubank McCord, 56, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024. The services for Dana will be held privately with her family on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Reverend Terry Moseley and Reverend Mark Magoni will officiate.
Dana was born in Macon, Georgia, on April 25, 1967, to Mr. Harold Eubank and Mrs. Berniece Eubank. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
With a bachelor's degree in psychology and early childhood education, she dedicated her life to the service of children. Whether working at DFACS in Child Protective Services or licensing childcare centers, she tirelessly advocated for the welfare of those in need. Dana served as a director and consultant for many childcare centers in Georgia. She was committed to ensuring the safety and quality of childcare facilities across Georgia, where she served in licensing capacities for the state. Beyond her professional endeavors, Dana embraced the simple joys of life, finding solace in the pages of books and the tranquility of the beach. She proudly represented her community as one of the first Cherry Blossom Princesses. Her love for adventure and service extended to her time as a 4-H camp counselor, where she mentored countless campers. She earned the prestigious recognition as the outstanding Bibb County 4-H'er. Above all, her family was the light of her life and she loved them more than anything. Dana was a woman of immense compassion, strength, and grace, whose legacy of love will forever echo in the hearts of those she touched.
She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Eubank; brother, Doug Eubank; father-in-law, Charles McCord.
Left to cherish her memory are Wade McCord; sons, Lane McCord and Evan McCord; mother, Berniece Eubank; sister, Laural Moseley (Terry); sister-in-law, Paige Eubank; and many other relatives.
