Curtis Lamar Tanner, Jr., of Macon, Georgia unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024. A funeral service to honor his life will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. The family invites friends to join them one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation. Mr. Nicholas Carroll will officiate.
Curtis was born in Macon, Georgia on March 15, 1952, to the late Mr. Curtis Lamar Tanner, Sr., and Mrs. Rebecca Robertson Tanner. He attended the local schools before graduating. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. After returning to Macon, he worked at Lowe Electric and retired from the Academy Warehouse. Needing to keep himself busy, he began working in the roofing business with his son and nephews. This was truly the most enjoyable time of his life. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Curtis was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Ouida Little Tanner; parents, Curtis and Rebecca; sister, Kay T. Allen and a brother-in-law, Raymond Little.
Left to treasure his memory is his son, Cory Tanner; sisters, Mary Johnson and Fay Wood; brother-in-law, Johnny Allen; sister-in-law, Ann Brewer (Jim); and a host of many nieces and nephews.
