Cody Lee Thigpen, 30, of Macon, passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 2, 2014. A Memorial Service to honor his life will be held Saturday, December 6,2014, 2:00PM, in the sanctuary of Warner Robins First United Methodist Church, 205 North Davis Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31093. The Reverend Missy Blumenthal will be officiating.
Cody was a self-taught musician, who wrote music, played bass guitar and helped form the band, Hidden. He loved to read, occasionally sketched and collected National Geographic magazines .He loved eating the hottest peppers, and was a great cook, often making up his own recipes. He formerly worked as a cook, an electrician's apprentice, a plumber's assistant, and worked other jobs in the construction field.
Cody loved children and not just his own, he often spent time with his nieces and his friends' children. Cody was a very loyal friend, often doing without to do for others.
Cody is survived by the loves of his life, son Anthony Lee (6) and daughter Eliza Mae Thigpen (3), their mother, Kristen Justice of Perry, GA; his mother, Kellee Goble Thigpen of Atlanta, GA, his sister, Lissa Ann Hurley and his nieces, Kaylee and Madison of Warner Robins, GA, and his paternal grandmother, Nadine Thigpen of Macon, GA. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, and loving friends. But will be missed by all who knew him.
