Clyde "Milton" Phillips

Clyde "Milton" Phillips- April 21, 1946 – May 12, 2025- age 79 of Lizella, Georgia, passed away at home with his loving wife at his side. A service to celebrate Clyde's life will be held Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Lizella Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Minton officiating. The family will greet friends at 10:00 AM before the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lizella Baptist Church Mission Fund, 2950 South Lizella Road, Lizella, Georgia 31052.
Clyde was born to the late Julian Phillips and Fannie Brown. He graduated from Cochran High School before serving our country in the United States Air Force for seven years, serving in Vietnam. He graduated from the University of Georgia and worked at Georgia Power for 30 years until he retired. After retirement, Clyde loved working on lawnmowers and piddling around outside.
He was survived by his wife, Peggy; two children, Phelicia (Ethan) McCallum and Chad (Christy) Phillips; grandsons, Noah "Riley" McCallum, Cole Phillips, Camden Phillips, and Peyton McCallum; brother, Sidney (Mary) Phillips; sister, Sue (Don) Davis; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin Phillips and Willie Davis Phillips, and his sister, Frances Porter.
