Clyde Sidney Johnson, 83, of Macon, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021. He will be laid to rest in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with a private ceremony.
Mr. Johnson was born on March 3, 1937 in Tampa, Florida to the late Clyde Johnson. Sr. and Mertie Matthews Johnson. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After his time in the service, he began a career as an Air Traffic Controller, working at St. Pete Clearwater Airport. Mr. Johnson was a member of Mikado Baptist Church.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his loving wife; Marylin Mickler Johnson and two daughters; Jennifer Johnson Bennett (Simon) and Christy Johnson Bishop (David). Grandchildren; Stradford Helms (Brooke), Tucker Helms, Samuel Bishop, Sydney Bishop. Great Grandson; Gunner Helms and one brother; Robert Johnson (Judy).
