It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clifford Randal Howard on January 25, 2026. Born on July 29, 1961, in Macon, GA, Clifford was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many, residing in Lizella, GA, for most of his life.

Clifford is survived by his devoted wife of forty-six years, Juanita Howard; his cherished children, son Joshua Howard and his wife Melinda, and daughter Jennifer Josey and her husband Jamie; and his adored grandchildren, Cale, Anna-Claire, Emma, Madison, Ryder, and Ridge. He is also survived by his brother, Grover Howard (Denise) of Florida; and sisters, Sandra Thompson of Milledgeville, Gwen Kight (Terry) of Musella, and Shannon Tharpe (Dewayne) of Byron. Cliff was preceded in death by his loving parents, George Edward Howard and Margaret Grace Howard.

Clifford's educational achievements included an associate degree in Theology, demonstrating his lifelong commitment to learning and spirituality. He spent many years dedicated to service as the Director of Public Works for Bibb County, a role from which he retired but never stopped caring for his community.

Clifford had a vibrant personality that touched everyone he met. Known for being funny, outgoing, and larger than life, he spread joy and laughter wherever he went. He had a deep passion for Southern rock and blues music and spent countless nights on stage with his band, "Midnight in Macon." His love for life was paralleled only by his generosity, always offering his time and resources to those in need.

In his later years, Clifford found immense joy in sharing his passion for Go Kart racing with his nine-year-old grandson, an activity that lit up his weekends and brought his family closer together. To honor Clifford's legacy of fostering young talents and creating cherished memories, the family welcomes flowers and encourages donations to enhance the experiences of young Go Kart racers at Monticello Kart Racing, 500 Ted Sauls Road, Monticello, Georgia 31064.
