Cleo Pete Scarboro

Cleo Pete Scarboro, affectionately known by many as “Pee Wee,” age 76, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of September 3, 2026.

The family invites friends to join them for a time of visitation to celebrate his life; 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Saturday September 5, 2026 at FairHaven Funeral Home 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Rd Macon, GA 31216.

Pee Wee was preceded in death by his parents, Amos Scarboro and Annie Mae Jordan Scarboro, and his beloved wife, Betty Scarboro.

Pee Wee lived a life full of love, laughter, fishing, music, and good times shared with family and friends. He truly never met a stranger. With his unforgettable personality and quick wit, you never quite knew what Pee Wee was going to say next, and that was part of what made him so special. He had a way of making people laugh, feel welcome, and enjoy the moment.

One of Pee Wee’s greatest passions was fishing. An avid fisherman, he spent countless days doing what he loved most; casting a line, enjoying the outdoors, and waiting for the next big catch. Those peaceful days on the water brought him great happiness.

Music was another special part of Pee Wee’s life. He loved playing the guitar and collected many of them throughout the years. Some of his happiest times were spent gathered with friends, guitars in hand, picking, playing, and singing together. Music brought people together around Pee Wee, just as his warm personality did.

Those left behind will forever cherish the memories, laughter, stories, songs, and love he shared. Though his earthly journey has come to an end, the mark he left on the hearts of those who knew and loved him will never fade.

We find comfort in knowing that Pee Wee has been reunited with those who went before him and has been welcomed into his eternal home. We can only imagine that Heaven sounds a little sweeter now, with Pee Wee holding a guitar once again, picking and playing for the Lord in a place where there is no more pain, no more sorrow, and no more goodbyes.

Pee Wee may be gone from our sight, but he will never be gone from our hearts. His laughter will be remembered, his stories will be told, his music will live on, and his memory will be cherished forever.
