Charlotte Land

Charlotte Rowland Land, or Ottie as she was affectionately known to all who knew and loved her, 75, of Byron, passed away with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. The family will have a time of visitation to greet friends on Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services to honor her life will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Byron United Methodist Church. Reverend Phil Bryant and Reverend Carl Colbert will officiate. Immediately following the service, Mrs. Land will be laid to rest in Byron City Cemetery.

Mrs. Land was born and raised in Byron, Georgia to the late Lonnie G. Rowland and Kathleen Bailey Rowland. She worked in Finance and retired after 40 plus years of faithful service from Citi Financial. In 1991 she married Steve Land, and together they built a wonderful life. Mrs. Land was an amazing Wife, Mother, Ottie, Sister, Aunt and Friend to all who knew her. Her greatest joy in life came from her family, she never missed a sporting event, family dinner, or chance to spend time with them, especially her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her girls. She was an Ottie to everyone.

Mrs. Land was preceded in death by her parents as well as her beloved dog Pepper.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving family. Her husband; Steve Land, Children; Kristy Doles (Mike), Becky Norrell (Dean), Katey Ray (Kessler) and LeAnn Jones (Brandon). Grandchildren; Connor Doles, Garrett Doles, Reilly Doles, Griffin Parker, Megan Norrell, Korbin Ray, Kohen Ray, Hayden Jones, Reese Jones, and Ashton Jones. Niece; Emily Mosely (Alisha). Nephew; George Mosely (Rick). Sister; Kathy Thompson.
