Charlie Bartol Krulic, Jr., 76, of Lizella went to meet his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 22, 2018. Services to honor his life will be held in the Chapel of Ingleside Baptist Church, Tuesday, June 26, at 11:00 AM with Dr. Mark Hudgens officiating. There will be a time of visitation, one hour prior, starting at 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall.
Charlie retired from Norfolk Southern as a locomotive engineer after 40 years of service, and continued to work another 14 years in the railroad industry. He was a current employee of Cater Parrott Railnet. One of his favorite pastimes was running; he also enjoyed antique cars, and traveling. With his mechanical skills, Charlie enjoyed tinkering in his garage. Charlie had some unique qualities; besides being left-handed, Charlie was one of the few people who carry the rarest blood type O negative. He was a faithful blood donor and proudly gave over 5 gallons in his lifetime.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie Bartol Krulic, Sr. and Miriam Parker Krulic.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 53 years, Carolyn Thigpen Krulic, two sons: Charlie Bartol "Bart" Krulic, III (Laura) and Sterling "Bryce" Krulic (Brooke). He also leaves behind a sister; Mary Francis Collins (Thomas) and a twin brother; John Wesley Krulic (Judy); grandchildren: Charlie Bartol "Quaid" Krulic IV, Samantha Krulic and Maxwell Krulic, as well as several nieces and nephews; however, Charlie will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Charlie's favorite charity: The Rescue Mission of Central Georgia, 774 Hazel Street, Macon, GA 31201.
