Charles Gary Wilson
July 10, 1938 — February 7, 2021
Charles Gary Wilson, 82, of Macon passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021. The family will have a time of visitation, Sunday, February 14, 2021 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Baptist Church, 3400 Gray Hwy, Gray, GA 31032. A celebration of his life will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kim Washburn officiating. For those unable to attend the service will be streamed live on Greenwood Baptist Church Facebook page for viewing.
Gary was born on July 10, 1938 in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late James William Wilson and Edna Schell Wilson. He was a sales representative and retired from Nestle. He had a love for old cars, and going to car shows. He had a devout love for the Lord, and taught Sunday School Class for over 30 years. Every morning, but Sunday, he could be found with his group of friends at the Burger King, where he would solve the worlds problems. Gary loved his church, his country, and anything related to the 50's. He was a sharp dressed man who never missed a opportunity to dance. His greatest joy in life came from his family, especially the love of his life, Theresa, he adored her. Together they built a wonderful home. He was the string to her kite.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his son; Richard Todd Wilson.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years; Theresa Lyons Wilson. Children; Charles Gary Wilson, Jr. and Tracey Renee Wilson. Grandchildren; Sarah Martin (Michael), Laurel Wilson, Torianna Wilson, Richard James Wilson, Ainsley Wilson, Mallory Wilson, and Cohen Wilson. Brother; James William Wilson, Jr. (Donna)
In lieu of flowers, Gary's darling wife of 60years, Theresa, invites you to donate to the "Greenwood Widows Valentine Ministry." Gary was known and adored for wearing his red bow tie , making flower deliveries and upon arrival singing ~ Let me call you sweetheart ~ to the widows in our beloved Greenwood Community !!!
