Charles Alan "Alan" Thomas, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025. A celebration to honor his life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday August 26, 2025, at FairHaven Funeral Home. The family invites friends to join them one hour prior to services for a time of visitation. A private inurnment service will take place at Georgia Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Chaplain Matthew Cowart will be officiating all services.
Known to many as everyone's favorite "Computer Guy", Alan lived a rich, adventurous life filled with warmth, curiosity, and compassion. With his magnetic personality and quiet strength, he had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and valued.
Alan is father to Matthew Thomas and Cecile Thomas, and a proud grandfather to Braxton and Teagan Thomas. He is also survived by his brothers Eddie Thomas (and wife Amy) and Wayne Thomas, all of whom held a special place in his heart. In his final chapter, he was cared for and deeply befriended by Geneva Chapple, his home nurse and cherished friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Charlie Russell Thomas and Mrs. Vera Lee Thomas.
Diligent, kind, and tenacious, Alan was a man who gave his best in everything he did. His legacy is one of generosity, deep connection, and a life well-lived. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
