Charles Hanse

Charles Travis Hanse, 85, of Lizella, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. A graveside service to honor his life will be held on Saturday, July 20, at 10:00 AM, with Reverend, Chris Minton officiating.
Mr. Hanse was born on August 10, 1938, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. Carrol Franklin Hanse and Mrs. Gladys Hicks Hanse. He retired from G.E. after 25 years of service, where he worked as an x-ray mechanic. Mr. Hanse was proficient in tinkering, welding, wood working, and a master YouTube mechanic.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hanse was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Genene Sanders Hanse.
Mr. Hanse is survived by his children, Gina Merritt (Michael) and Andrew Hanse, and a host of extended family members.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Lizella Baptist Church, 2950 South Lizella Road Lizella, Ga. 31052.
