Charles Edgar Biggerstaff, Jr, 86 passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, July 16, 2017. Funeral Services to honor his life will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon, with the Reverend Loran Smith Officiating. Following the service, Mr. Biggerstaff will be laid to rest with military honors in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation to greet friends Wednesday, July 19, 2017, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Biggerstaff was born April 1, 1931 to Charles Sr., and Mae Lundy Biggerstaff in Macon, Georgia. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War Theater. Mr. Biggerstaff was retired from Georgia Farm Bureau after many years of service.
Mr. Biggerstaff was preceded in death by one son; Craig "Tony" Bryant.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Mamie Coleman Biggerstaff, two sons: Keith Bryant (Jacque) of Macon and Lewis Powell (Tina) of Newport News, Virginia. One daughter;Suzanne Dixon (Terry) of Macon. Grandsons: Curtis Sellers, Kevin Bryant, Jason Bryant, Robert Fincher, Christopher Goodwin, and Shawn Thornton. Granddaughters: Tamara Bryant, Rosezanna Bryant, and Kristin Bryant.
Mr. Biggerstaff was generous and family oriented. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He never met a stranger and loved his family, his hometown and his four-legged companion Bella.
