Catherine Mae Lamb Marchman, 82, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
One of nine children, Catherine was born May 21,1939, in Macon, to the late Orie Ione Brown Lamb and James Clarence Lamb. Catherine grew up in Macon and was a 1957 graduate of Miller High School. She was married to her high school sweetheart, James Rabon Marchman, on February 23, 1958. Catherine worked at Robins Air Force Base and medically retired in 1989 as an Inventory Management Specialist. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived with Multiple Sclerosis for over 30 years and was an advocate for research for a cure. Catherine was a member of Mikado Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, James Rabon Marchman; two children, Monica Earley (Gene) and Marlon Marchman (Julie); three grandchildren, Patrick Earley, Jessica Gordon (Justin) and Austin Marchman; and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Anna Gordon. A celebration of life for Catherine will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The family will greet friends and family at 10:00 am with services starting at 11:00 am with Dr. Brad Marchman officiating. Burial will immediately follow the celebration of life at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family requests that all wear facial masks during the service.
