Cassidy Danielle Burney, 25, of Bibb County, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation. Immediately following, Cassidy will be laid to rest in Serenity Gardens Cemetery. Pastor Johnny Baggett will officiate the services.

Cassidy was born on July 29, 1998, in Macon, Georgia to Mr. John Emmett Burney and Mrs. Tammy Danielle Chastain. Cassidy was very passionate about the things she loved. She always helped any animal in need and rescued many dogs to provide them with a better life. In her free time, you could find her under a shade tree at the dog park with her animals, dancing through every stage of life, and always making everyone around her smile. Her family was most important to her, she cherished any moment she was in their presence. Cassidy was loving, nurturing, beautiful, and radiant. She will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jimmy Chastain and Gail Watson.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, John Emmett Burney and Tammy Danielle Chastain; brother, Dustin Burney; grandparents, Debra Chastain, Bufford Moore (Angela); aunts, Tonia West (Jerrod), Wendy Cheatham (Robert Brady), Michelle Curry; uncles, DeWayne Moore and Marlon Moore; and a host of many cousins.
