Carrie Mae Reid, quietly departed this life Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the age of 87. Funeral Services to honor life will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Immediately following, the service, she will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Reverend Jeff Powell will officiate.
Daughter of the late Milton Zorphus Wildes and Georgia Harris, was born on September 1, 1931 in Charlton County, Georgia. As a young woman, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a member of Safe Harbor Church in Macon, Georgia. She enjoyed baking and sharing with friends and neighbors. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Her love for Christ was shown through her service of loving and caring for others.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Reid, Sr., her son Frederick Reid, Jr. and daughter Mary Frances Reid Tucker.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her daughter, Debra Reid Higgs (Edwin Higgs, Sr.) of Adrian, GA. Son-in-law, Randy Tucker of Macon, Ga, six grandchildren, Edwin Higgs, Jr. (Carla Higgs), Jacob Higgs, Henry Higgs, DeAnna Walls, Billy Elliott (Jennifer Elliott), and Randall Tucker, Jr. and six great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
