Carolyn Gerdice Johnson Wilson, 93, of Macon, Georgia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 31, 2025. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Carolyn was born in Macon, Georgia on September 17, 1931, to the late Mr. Johnny Howard Johnson and Mrs. Ethel Heard Johnson. Carolyn was a beloved member of Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church, where she and her husband faithfully attended services, sharing their love for God and community. As a mother, she was the epitome of dedication, always putting her family first and offering unwavering support. Carolyn was the heart and soul of her family, pouring her love and care into her husband and daughter, JoAnn, guiding them with wisdom and compassion. Her involvement in JoAnn's activities showed just how deeply she cared, always present and eager to cheer her on. Known for her love of cooking, Carolyn created a warm, nurturing home where everyone felt welcomed and loved. Even in the face of difficult times, she showed immense strength and courage, never wavering in her role as a comforting, safe haven for her family. She was the matriarch whose love and influence will never be forgotten.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 76 faithful years, Charlie Lamar Wilson and her daughter, JoAnn (David) Peebles.
