Carol Ann Just Harrod Ormond, 78, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 18, 2021. The family will have a private family viewing on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home before making their way in procession to Glen Haven Memorial Gardens for a graveside celebration beginning at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Ronnie Hollis, Jr. officiating.
Ms. Ormond was born on December 20, 1942, in Lockport, New York, to the late Walter Francis Just and Sylvia Berdine Anderson Just. Carol dedicated her life to serving others. She began her nursing career in Newfane, New York before moving to Georgia in 1985 where she continued her nursing career as a compassionate bedside nurse. She proudly served her country as a Reserve Officer in the United States Navy, Nurse Corps from 1987 to 1997. Carol was a passionate nurse educator in the School of Nursing at Georgia College for more than 20 years. She retired from Nursing after 50 years of service holding a Master's degree as an Advanced Family Nurse Practitioner. Carol's greatest passion was the love and devotion she had for her family. Ms. Ormond was a natural caretaker, not only to her patients and students, but also to her family, friends, and anyone in else in need.
Ms. Ormond was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Heather Harrod; sister, Linda Just Heschke; and brother, David Just.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Wendy Luth (Bill) and Gregory Harrod (Angie); grandchildren, Hayley Harrod, Travis Webb (Ashlee), William Dilorenzo (Sarah) Michael Dilorenzo (Orie), and Danny Dilorenzo (Melissa); Maggie Luth (Jairon), Franks W. Luth IV (April), and Vincent Luth (Madeline); seven great-grandchildren; sister, Noreen Just Tice and several extended family member. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
