In Loving Memory of Landon Brooks Lawless
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brooks Lawless. Brooks left us far too soon on August 1, 2025, at the age of 17.
Born on February 17, 2008, in Macon, Georgia and was a resident of Lizella, Georgia. He spent a number of his short years in Aiken, South Carolina where he has many friends and family.
Brooks loved to laugh, make everyone around him smile, hunting, fishing, children, rodeo, and all things country.
He was predeceased by his mother, Alecia Lawless-Derochie, and survived by his younger brother, Logan Lawless, Maternal Grandparents, Kim Drinkwine (Matt), and John Lawless (Debbie), Aunts, Amber Lawless, Shannon Elliott (Russell), Kaitlyn Lawless, Bailey Turner (Shane), Uncle, Dalton Lawless. His Elliott Farms family, Russ Elliott (Debra) and Mandy Price (Josh) along with lots of Great Aunts, Uncles, and extended family including special Cousins that were like sisters and brothers as well as a wide circle of friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of Brooks' life will be held on August 15th with fellowship beginning at 3:30 PM and Service at 5:00 PM at the Conference Center of the James Madison Inn, 260 W Washington St., Madison, GA 30650. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and share in saying goodbye to the bright light that he was.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to Wayne Dutton Livestock for a special year end award for the kids that love to rodeo as much as he did. They will be honoring Brooks at their next rodeo on August 16, 2025, at 5:00 pm The arena is located at 1610 Doster Rd, Madison, GA 30650. Checks can be mailed to the same address and Venmo is Wayne-dutton-3 with a reference in memory of Brooks.
