Bonnie Faye Holmes, 56, of Fort Valley passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. The family invites friends to join them one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation. Immediately following the service, Bonnie will be laid to rest next to her late husband at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Ben Spillers and Pastor Andrew Mathis will officiate the services.
Bonnie was born in Reynolds, Georgia to Mr. Robert Lee Spillers and Mrs. Mary Lizzie Pitts. Bonnie was a woman with a heart full of love for the things that brought her joy and comfort. She had a deep affection for Indian dolls and Native American items, cherishing each piece she had. Her love for Charlie Brown was unwavering, and her collection of Peanuts and Charlie brown memorabilia was a testament to her fondness for the beloved characters. Bonnie had a passion for adventure, embarking on numerous cruises that allowed her to explore many corners of the world. But above all, family was the core of her life, and she made sure to keep those closest to her always feeling loved. Known for her playful spirit, Bonnie had a knack for getting on everyone's nerves in the most humorous way, always lightening the mood with her unique sense of humor. She was the one you could always count on to call, and her phone conversations were cherished moments. Her family will miss her dearly, and her presence in their lives will always be remembered with love and laughter.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Spillers; husband, Robert Elzie Holmes, Jr.; and one sister-in-law, Debbie Middlebrooks; and a life long friend, Pop.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Mary Spillers; brothers, Leon Spillers and Lamar (Brandy) Spillers; brother in law, Bruce Middlebrooks; sisters, Lynn (Kevin) Reis and Hilda (Robert) Hardman; nieces, Cynthia (Ken) Bassett; nephews, Clifford Hudson, Benjamin (Courtney) Spillers, Bryce (Allie) Spillers, Robbie Spillers; great nephews, Gabriel Hudson, Aiden Hudson, Nikolas Wright, Bauer Spillers; life long friend, Andrew (Carlene) Mathis and Momma G; along with a host of extended family members.
