Bobby Snipes

Bobby Gerrell Snipes, 80, of Macon passed away suddenly Sunday, May 15, 2016. A Graveside Funeral Service to honor his life will be held Friday, May 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon.
Born in Macon he was the son of the late Jerry Dominy Snipes. Bobby proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. After his time in the service he began working at Robins Air Force Base as an Aircraft Electrician, where he worked for over 30 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed sports, especially the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons. Bobby was also a Mason and liked spending his free time watching movies. Above everything, he loved being around his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving family. Children; Michael Snipes, and Felicia Buffington both of Kathleen and one granddaughter, Kelli Buffington of Atlanta, his special friend Lena Short of Macon, as well as the mother of his children, Margaret Frazier.
