Billy Ray Williams, 72, of Macon, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Funeral Services to honor his life will be held Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon, with Reverend Clinton Fields officiating. Burial will be immediately following in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation Thursday night from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born in Fort Valley to the late Earnest and Thelma Williams, Mr. Williams was employed by Welding Supply as truck driver for more than 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He particularly loved deer hunting. Being very family oriented, one of Mr. Williams favorite past times, was spending time with his grandson, Brandon and attending Brandon's baseball games. After retirement, he started a lawn care business, Billy's Lawn Service, with his grandson.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his Parents, Earnest and Thelma Williams. Brother; J.W. Williams, and Brother in law; James Vining.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving and adoring wife of 53 years, Grace Williams; His Daughter; Donna Leigh (Bo) and Grandson; Brandon Leigh; Five Brothers; Earnest Williams (Bobbie), Wayne Williams (Wendy), Fred Williams (Gwen), Bobby Williams (Janet), and Buddy Williams (Carol); Two Sisters; Wynelle Vining and Thelma Jean Kersey ( Ronnie); Sister in law; Sarah Williams as well as his three special dogs, Pug, Taffy and Tebow and a host of Brother-in-laws, Sister-in-laws, Nieces and Nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to friends and family for all they have done during this time. As well as a special thank you to Dr. Jason Chapman and his Staff, and Pine Pointe Hospice, Navicent Health, for the excellent compassionate care they provided Mr. Williams.
