Billy Davis Stancil, 86, of Macon, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021. The family will have a time of visitation on Monday, January 3, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at FairHaven Funeral Home. A celebration of Mr. Stancil's life will be held on Tuesday, January 4, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home. Burial will be private on Wednesday, January 5, in Commerce, Georgia.
Mr. Stancil was born on September 21, 1935, in Commerce, Georgia, to the late Harold I. Stancil and Myrtie Lou Davis Stancil. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from February of 1958 to December of 1963. After 25 years of service, Mr. Stancil retired from Robins Air Force Base, where he worked as equipment specialist. He was a longtime member and deacon at West Highland Baptist Church and Safe Harbor Church. Mr. Stancil was also a member of H2U and NARFE.
Mr. Stancil was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Evelyn Dolores Benton Stancil; daughter, Sharon Stancil; granddaughter Kimberly Stancil; and brother Theron Stancil,
Mr. Stancil is survived by his children, Kenneth Stancil (Cathy), Lori Harvey (Lee), Lisa Watson and Curtis Stancil (Chala); grandchildren, Macy Johnson (Braden), Dakota Harvey, Melissa Watson, Evie Stancil, Erin Stancil, Caitlyn Stancil and Gavin Lineberger; greatgrandson, Jett Johnson; sisters, Jane Roberts and Ann Brown (Terry); three step granddaughters; five step great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
The family will receive visitors at the residence of Kenny and Cathy Stancil, 6365 Fulton Drive, Lizella.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Safe Harbor Church or charity of choice.
