Billy Lewis Queen, 82, of Macon passed away peacefully on December 25, 2021. Graveside services to honor his life will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 11:00 am at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Morgan Kerr officiating. The family will have a time of visitation one hour prior at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Macon, Georgia, starting at 10a.m.
Born in Fanning Co. Georgia, to Mr. Harry M. Queen and Mrs. Effie Dilbeck Queen, Billy later proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea after the war. Mr. Queen also loved to hunt, travel and shoot his guns. Another hobby he enjoyed was collecting coins to leave servers as a tip for serving him an enjoyable meal and was a proud member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Mr. Queen is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Frank Queen and Charles J. Queen; his sisters: Nellie Queen Payne, Georgia May Queen Gordon, and Ruby Q Dyer.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Jean Martin Queen and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. However, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
