Billy Wayne Jones, 79, of Macon, Georgia, passed away surrounded by loved ones. He was born on October 14, 1945, in Macon, to the late Henry Grady Jones and Virginia T. Jones.
Billy was a man of many talents and unique interests. A proud Eagle Scout, he carried the values of scouting throughout his life. He was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church and cherished his faith community. Billy loved spending time with his hobbies—whether serving as a model train engineer, collecting state quarters and stamps, preserving the history of scouting through his Boy Scouting patch collection, or playing Monopoly on the computer, a game he especially enjoyed.He is survived by his sister, JoAnn Brown; his brother, Bobby Jones; and
several nieces and nephews who will forever remember his kindness and joy for life.
A funeral service will be held Friday, October 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
