Bettye Beene

Bettye Mayton Beene, 81 of Macon, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Reverend Johnny Baggett will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in the funeral Home.
Born in Ooltewah, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Marvin James Mayton and Louise Stephens Mayton. She was the wife of the late Curtis R. Beene was preceded in death by her sons, Rick West, Shawn Beene and a daughter, Melissa Ray.
Mrs. Beene was a member of the Pine Forest Baptist Church, and a diehard University of Tennessee Football fan. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a love of people and was very kind hearted to all who knew her. The family would like to thank her friends at Pearl Stephens Village for all the support and care they gave her.
She is survived by her sons, Steve West (Kim), and John Beene. Grandchildren, Jeremy Kyle West (Brandi), Karley West Lance, Joshua Lee West (Leeann), Stephanie Ray, Brandy Beene, Iesha Beene and a number of great grandchildren. Sister, Frankie Gammon and good friend John Swann.
