Betty Willis

Betty Jean Willis, 79, of Byron, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 21, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home Pastor Ronnie Campbell will officiate. Immediately following Ms. Willis will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time, for a time of visitation.



Ms. Willis was born on June 30, 1944, in Lanett, Alabama, to the late Mr. Cecil Benefield and Kathleen Ham. Ms. Willis was a dedicated member of Gods Church of Worship and Praise. She loved attending church and being with her church family. She loved making the weekly church bulletins. She loved her family and enjoyed it when her grandkids and great grandkids would come to visit. Ms. Betty enjoyed computer games and reading.



Ms. Willis was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Clarence Willis and parents; Cecil Benefield and Kathleen Ham.



Ms. Willis is survived by her two daughters Kathy James (Craig) and Cindy Thompson; grandkids, Kim Smith, Chris Green, Brandon "Ben" Norman (Adriane), Brandi McConnell, and Brooke Romano (Jason) and a host of great grandchildren.



In lieu of flowers of flowers the family request that donations be made in Ms. Willis name to the Parkinson Foundation.
