Betty Jean Stuckey, 85, of Macon, Georgia, went to be with her Lord on Sunday June 29, 2025. A funeral service to honor her life will be 3:00 PM Wednesday July 2, 2025, at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church rd. Macon, Georgia. The family invites friends to join them for a time of visitation one hour prior to services.Immidiatly following services Betty will be laid to rest at Glen Haven memorialGardens Cemetery. Pastor Jimmy Rozier will be officiating all services.
Betty was born August 19, 1939, in Byron, Georgia to the late Mr. Willie Helton and Mrs. Lillian Fields Helton. She lived a life full of warmth, creativity, and adventure. With a radiant smile that could light up any room, she brought joy to everyone who knew her. She was a talented cook who especially loved preparing meals for the holidays, turning every gathering into a cherished memory. Betty's passion for golf, scrapbooking, and travel reflected her zest for life and her appreciation for both quiet moments and exciting new experiences. She poured her heart into building her home board by board and memory by memory, creating a space filled with love. Always caring and thoughtful, Betty was the kind of person who made others feel seen and valued. Her brother affectionately called her "Mean Betty Jean" in her youth, a nickname that belied the deep kindness and humor that defined her spirit.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, Roy Helton, Winford (Frances) Helton; sisters, Jeanette (Ed) Connally, and Inez (Stanford) Cooper.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 55 Years Danny Stuckey; son, Bobby Witherington; brother, Don (Carol) Helton; sister-in-law, Sarah Helton; grandchildren, Adam (Crystal) Witherington, Daniel (Marcia) Boyd, Jennifer (Andrew) Baggett, Kristen (Shane) Witherington; great grandchildren, Tommy, Gregory, Lainey, Rylee, Harley; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
