Betty Jordan Scarboro, 74, of Fort Valley, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024. Funeral services will be private.
Mrs. Scarboro was born on June 24, 1949, in Lavonia, Georgia, to the late Mr. J.C. Jordan and Mrs. Willella Segars Jordan. She was a member of Livingstone Baptist Church. Mrs. Scarboro retired as a nurse's assistant, but even more than her career, her life's work was taking care of others, which she loved to do; always putting others before herself. In her free time, she loved fishing, hunting, and gardening.
Mrs. Scarboro was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Phillips and brother, James Jordan.
Left to cherish Mrs. Scarboro's memory is her loving husband of 48 years, Cleo Pete Scarboro; children, Linda Sullivan, Pamela McCord (Mike), Lisa Scarboro, and Ronnie Scarboro; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Jordan.
