Betty Jean Livingston Putnal, 89, of Macon, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025. Funeral services to honor her life will be held on Wednesday, December 31, at 2:00 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church, 4256 Hartley Bridge Rd, Macon, Georgia 31216, with Reverend, Josh Gale officiating. Immediately following, Mrs. Putnal will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service from 1:00 PM until 2:00.
Mrs. Putnal was born on December 25, 1936, in High Springs, Florida, to the late Mr. Luther Livingston and Mrs. Cecil Robinson Livingston. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she was an active member in the choir as well as part of Sweet Adelines choir that took her abroad to several countries in Europe to sing. She was a talented artist of oil paintings and a great cook during the holidays. Mrs. Putnal retired from Robins Air Force Base after 36 years in civil service. She was inspiration to all with her faith in Jesus.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Putnal was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Cary Wayne Putnal; sisters, Nora Livingston and Mildred Livingston; and brothers, Maccabee Livingston, Donald Livingston, and Eugene Livingston.
She is survived by children Bobby Hawkins, Greg Hawkins, and Kimberly O’Neal; grandchildren, Connie Moore, Jenifer Hawkins, Kevin Hawkins, and Chuck O’Neal; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is also survived by siblings Pete Livingston and Sharon Allen.
