Betty Hattaway

Betty Jean Stripling Hattaway, 91, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023. A graveside service to honor her life will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Avondale Baptist Church Cemetery at 11:00 AM. A joint visitation will be held for her and Raymond after the Graveside service on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM, in Mikado Baptist Church. Pastor Ed Chambless will officiate the services.

Mrs. Hattaway was a member of Mikado Baptist Church for 23 years and attended the Son Shiners Sunday School class. She participated in AWANA, and GYP. She was a retired Business Manager from Southern Bell Telephone, where she was a past president of the Telephone Pioneers. She was a loving grandma, mother, wife and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceeded in death by her first husband, Albert Benjamin Hattaway and current husband, Raymond Edward Hattaway.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving family, son, Mike Hattaway; daughters, Del Fuller (Mike), Pam Whitehurst (John), Lynn Hunnicutt (David); Allan Hattaway (Dianne), Steven Hattaway (Tammie), Sharon Raymer (Larry), Lynn Hattaway Rozier (Joel), Nancy Johnson (Andy); 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 2 great- great grandchildren.
