Betty Davis

Betty Jean Raley Davis, 82, of Macon passed away peacefully, October 12, 2016. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be held Monday, October 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Rd, Macon with the Reverend Joe Williams officiating. Interment will be immediately following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Born in Macon to the late Lucille Mimbs Raley, Betty was an extremely active member of Assembly of God, where she was a large part of her Sunday School Class. She was a loving outgoing person and found great enjoyment in helping others in any way possible. Betty was involved in Sales for the majority of her life and worked in several place such and Kmart and Chi-Chester's. Most recently she was employed by Carlyle Place. Earlier in her life she liked growing flowers and tending to her garden, but her greatest joy was found from spending time with her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Billy Davis and one Sister, Willine Stewart.
Left to cherish her memory is her two children, Steve Davis, and Janice Farrington. Two Grandsons; Chad Farrington (Jessica) and Chris Farrington (Tabitha). Three Great-Grandchildren; Zoey and Blakely Farrington and Kylie Crews. Sister; Brenda McCarthy. Nephews; Chester Stewart (Darlene), Scott Stewart (Marianne), Robby McCarthy, Jeremy McCarthy As well as Cousins; Randall Mimbs, Ouida Whitfield, Linda Mimbs, and Eddie Mimbs.
