Betty Keys Davis, 85, of Macon, Ga, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019, after an extended illness. Betty was born June 9, 1934 in Byron, GA to Willie and Maggie Keys. Although Betty worked a short time at Virginia Hall and the Diana Shop in Macon, she devoted her life to taking care of her family. She was married to the late Lamar Davis, Jr. for 59 years and she would tell you that her greatest accomplishment was her daughter, Pat and son, Bill. Betty loved gardening, cooking, and kept the cleanest home you could ever walk in. When she was promoted to Grandmother, she relished in the opportunity to make each child feel like they were her favorite. She also experienced the great joy of being a great grandmother. Throughout her lifetime, Betty was known as "Sug", Mom, Aunt B, Granny B, and then just B and she was well loved by everyone who called her by those names.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Lamar, her sister, Margaret, brother, Thomas, and most recently, her daughter, Pat.
She is survived by her son, Bill (Sandy) Davis of Ruskin, Fl; son-in-law, Larry Peterson of Milledgeville; grandson, Dustin (Jessica) Peterson of Monroe; granddaughter, Jamilyn (Corey) Ellis of Buford; grandson, Drew Davis of Ruskin, Fl; grandson, Taylor (Victoria) Davis of Alpharetta; her great grandchildren, Courtney & Peyton Ellis, and Scout Peterson; and many beloved nieces & nephews.
