Betty Ann Brewer, a beloved resident of Byron, GA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the age of 78. Born in Sandersville, Georgia, Betty was known for her gentle spirit, kind nature, and unwavering faith as a strong, faithful Christian.
Betty spent her career as a dedicated dispatcher at Mercer University, where she was known for her professionalism and warmth. After retiring, she enjoyed spending her time immersed in her favorite books and watching Hallmark movies, cherishing the simple joys of life. Her family-oriented nature and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William H. Brewer, her parents, Otis and Irene Pearson, and her brother, Sammy "Bebo" Pearson. Betty is survived by her devoted son, Ronnie Brewer, her brother-in-law, Charley Brewer, sister-in-law, Cherry McKinley, and a slew of cherished nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Fairhaven Funeral Home in Macon, Georgia, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. Betty will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
