Betty Lou Bell Bryant, 97, of Macon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Funeral services to honor her life will be held on Monday, July 14, at 3:00 PM, in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home with Pastor, Ed Chambless officiating. Immediately following Mrs. Bryant will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
Mrs. Bryant was born on May 23, 1928, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. Clinton B. Bell and Mrs. Edith Margaret Biggs Bell. She was a devoted Christian woman whose faith guided every aspect of her life. As a dedicated homemaker, Mrs. Bryant poured her heart into creating a warm, loving home that was a haven for her family. With grace, strength, and unwavering kindness, she filled her household with joy, comfort, and a deep sense of belonging. Mrs. Bryant's kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of home-cooked meals, and her gentle spirit made everyone feel welcome. She embraced her role with pride and purpose, nurturing not only her children but also the values and traditions that defined her Southern roots. Mrs. Bryant's home was more than just a place—it was a reflection of her love, faith, and enduring devotion to her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Jack Wilmon Bryant; daughter, Vickie Lynn Davis; son, Terry Mark Bryant; sister, Laverne Brewer; and brother, Arthur Smith.
Left to cherish Mrs. Bryant's memory are her daughter, Jacqueline Virginia Bryant; sons, Garry Lamar Byrant (Yvonne), Bryan Keith Bryant, and Jason Bryant (Alicia); grandchildren, Chris, Chad, Amy, Leslie, Robbie, Mandie, Jayda, Hudson, Hartley, and Lindsay; several great and great-great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.
