Betty Jo Avery Causey

Betty Jo Avery Causey, 85, of Lizella, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 1, 2023. The family will have a time of visitation to greet friends on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home. Immediately following the service, Mrs. Causey will be laid to rest in Roberta City Cemetery. Pastor Ronnie Campbell and Pastor Kerry Bevel will officiate.
Mrs. Causey was born on September 30, 1937 in Macon to the late Joe Thomas and Maggie Maude Avery. In her younger years, she loved to go dancing with her husband Bobby. Mrs. Causey loved to go to yard sales, and never passed up a good deal, she was a collector of everything, birdhouses in particular. She worked hard as a homemaker, providing a wonderful life for her husband and children. In her free time, she loved being outside, especially working in her yard and being a Granny to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Causey was preceded in death by her parents, as well as 6 sisters and 3 brothers.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving family. Her husband; Bobby Causey. Children; Robert Keith Causey, Kelly Eugene Causey (Lee) and Tonya Vaughan (Chipper).Grandchildren; Nicole Collins, Maggie Harris, Tyler Vaughan. Robert K. Causey II, Brandon Causey, Zachary Causey, and Jasmine Causey. Great Grandchildren; Savannah Harris, Gracie Collins, Colton Collins, Avery Collins, Halle Causey, and Lincoln Causey.
