While she spent the last 10 years confined to a hospital bed, she would spend her days worshiping the Lord by listening to SBN/Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. She spent a number of years under the care of Kindred Hospice. She formed a great friendship with her primary tech, Mrs. Judy Williams. Not only was Mrs. Judy's care above and beyond, but she would also sing and dance in an effort to bring a smile to Betty's face. She formed a very special relationship with one of her nieces, Kenetha NeSmith, who visited her frequently and formed a very special bond with her. She will be sorely missed by those that call her 'Momma', 'Grandma', and 'Aunt Betty'.
