Ms. Bettie was born on December 4, 1936, in Taylorsville, Georgia to the late Mr. Robert Edwards and Mrs. Gladys Edwards. She lived a life rich with love, creativity, and devotion. Her family was the heart of everything she did, and she poured her love into every stitch of clothing she sewed for her children, grandchildren, and even their dolls. A talented and crafty soul, she was known for her quick smile, clever hands, and the firm rule: "Don't use my fabric scissors!" For over 40 years, she faithfully served as a Sunday school teacher at Cherokee Heights Baptist Church and later found a loving church home at Pine Forest Baptist. She brought warmth to every role she held, including her time as a beloved lunchroom cashier at Mount de Sales Academy. Ms. Bettie never lost touch with her high school friends and created magic for her grandchildren with pancake art and her famous pound cake. Her life was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and creativity; a legacy that will continue to warm hearts for generations.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Bettie is predeceased by her loving husband, of 64 years, Myron Ramsey.
